Product Description

Product Description

No matter what your mission, the size and weight of your equipment is a critical factor. With the Aimpoint Micro H-1, Aimpoint has introduced an aiming system that provides the performance of full-sized sights in the smallest package possible. Designed with the hunter in mind, these sights are the lightest red dot sights tough enough to bear the Aimpoint name. Small enough to be used anywhere that you could put iron sights, these sights can be used on any type of firearm or archery equipment. A lightweight rifle with Micro H-1 mounted on it remains a lightweight rifle. A hunting revolver with a Micro H-1 installed remains as easy to carry as with iron sights and is much quicker to aim. On a bow, the parallax-free Micro H-1 eliminates the need for a peep, allowing you to shoot accurately in lower light. Built to offer the same battle-proven ruggedness as other Aimpoint products, the Micro H-1 is able to perform under extreme conditions while adding negligible weight to your weapon. Suitable for use on rifles, carbines, shotguns, and handguns, the Aimpoint Micro H-1 is ideal as a stand-alone sight, and because it weighs less than 4 ounces including the integrated Weaver mount, it can easily be “piggybacked” on top of larger magnifying scopes optics. Aimpoint’s unique band-pass coating on the front lens gives the highest possible dot brightness, while providing the clearest, brightest image possible. Features 13 brightness settings for use in daylight and low-light conditions, so the Micro H-1 is ready for use around the clock. Unique Features of the Micro H-1: Ideal for rifles, carbines, shotguns, and handguns - Integral - Patent pending mount is keyed to the sight body to absorb recoil. New ACET technology allows 50,000 hours (over 5 years) of constant operation from one battery - 4 MOA dot - Matte Black finish - Submersible to 15 feet (5 meters) - Top of protective caps fits into holes on adjustment screws– no other tool required.

              About Aimpoint
In 1974, a small group of Swedish entrepreneurs started exploring ways to improve shooting accuracy, with the deceptively simple goal of creating a sighting technology that would allow shooters to acquire their target quickly, and hit moving targets in all weather and lighting conditions consistently and accurately. The result of their efforts, the now ubiquitous red dot sight, would eventually revolutionize the shooting and hunting industry.

The company's first commercial sight product, the Aimpoint Electronic, was introduced in 1975, and quickly developed a reputation as one of the fastest way to aim a firearm. The Aimpoint red dot sight has continued to evolve over the past 35 years by working closely with experienced hunters, marksmen and military weapon experts, and there are more than one million Aimpoint red dot sights in use worldwide today.

The heck with your Tacti-Cool Black Rifles. I have mine mounted on my 1895M Guide Gun .450 Marlin. This sight ain't just for kid's toys and wannabe soldiers. It can hunt, too! I'm just showing the one pic of the rifle, I had a pic of a 6" group at 100yds off-hand with a .45 rifle....my phone decided to eat it. Blame LG. Yeah, you LOL at a 6" group off-hand? Try that with a big-bore rifle and a levergun. Minute of Elk all day long. Loving this thing!

I got a very good deal on this Aimpoint R-1 4 MOA Micro sight. It normally list for more than $600. I found mine on Amazon for $450. I mounted it on my Ruger Mini-14 and it is great. It's compact size matches the Mini-14 perfectly. Now that I'm 67, my eyes are getting old, and I find that even iron sights are hard for me to see. This sight allows the shooter to get on target fast... with both eyes open.

I have the mini-14 mainly for home protection, and the red-dot is perfect for getting on target quickly in a dark environment. If you can see your target in the dark... the red dot is clearly visible. I prefer the red dot sighting system over a laser sight because with the red dot sighting system your target can't see your position.

The Micro sight functions very well in bright daylight too. I love it.

Unfortunately, I dont like this item, so gave it two stars. It's a weird review though, since I'm sure I'd love this item had it come not used already. In fact, I'm pretty positive the item itself is damn awesome. However, the item I recieved and am reviewing came in a horrible re-taped gift wrapping, which is fine. Birthday gifts can come in a paper bag for all anyone cares. Inside, the box was already opened and beat up. Still fine, whatever, just a box right? I'm not a baby, I like whats in the box (whereas most babies just want the box to play with). Opened it up, and the aimpoint was there. Nice, getting excited! Battery, check. Adjustment tool..hm..nope, no where to be found. Warranty card? Nope...not here..starting to seem fishy. Instructions? Nope. Damn. Well lets check out the device! Hm...seems a little beat up, used (big surprise since the box was missing every accessory it should come with). Not exactly how you want to spend your $550+, getting a used aimpoint that is missing everything. And...of all things...from AMAZON??! :(

I wasn't sure how to review this, since I'm technically reviewing the condition of the item I got (and therefore the item), but not its actual technical performance. I feel a bit bad since its mostly since it simply wasn't what most folks got - but how else can I warn folks of what could happen? Sorry Amazon.com, you failed me. Might actually buy this again, but not from Amazon.

This is what should be in your box btw: (...)

Bought this product "like new" and was shocked to find it missing the front lens. Otherwise the aimpoint is an awesome red dot. Will be exchanging for a new red dot.

I previously owned an Aimpoint Comp 2, and an Eotech XPS. I loved the Comp 2 and absolutely hated the XPS. The battery life on the Aimpoint sights are amazing it's literally turn on and forget it. Just change the battery once a year and your good to go. The H-1 has all the great traits of the Comp 2 but with a significant savings in weight. I would recommend the H-1 to anyone. I used the ADM Absolute Co-Witness mount and it's good to go. It installs easy and the quick detach feature is great. I had huge issues with the XPS. I could never get it to mount properly. It fell off after 5 or 6 shots of my AR. By comparission the H1 mounts solidly and I have not had any issues with it coming off unintentionally. I highly recommned this sight.

I went with the H-1 as I do not intend to use night vision with the T-1. I also have an Eotech so I'll compare the two. This unit is small so it does not block your field of view while the Eotech is larger but the sides are thin. The H-1 does have that battery compartment which you can consider it to block your view but it's minor. Battery life lasts around 3 times longer then the Eotech but I change out my batteries every year anyways since it's so cheap. It is nice though that the H-1 is always on so I don't have to fumble around with the buttons. The only part that bothers me is that the red dot is not perfectly round. It's just a blob of small red dots to make one big one while the Eotech is perfectly round and sharp. Not a huge deal as it's only a red dot system but for those with OCD or whatever it's called it may bother you a little. Mounting is much better as the unit is small. Some firearms will not fit an Eotech as the base is very wide so this H-1 is more universal. Ex. on a PS90 with flush mount the Eotech won't fit but this will. The H-1 is also lighter so if the ounces matter than this is for you. For me I like both but it really depends on the firearm I intend to put it on.
