May need a bit of practice to get used to
Since other reviewers have addressed the quality of the build and other aspects of this sight, I'm going to address the initial concern I had with it. When I first unboxed the EXPS2-2 and turned it on, I thought I received a damaged model because the reticle was so blurry that I couldn't discern the two different dots. As I soon learned, however, it wasn't the sight's fault. Since this is a true hologram and not just an LED dot being reflected off an angled piece of glass, it "projects" itself at the distance you are focusing. In other words, if you're looking at a shrub 300 yards away, the reticle will appear as a 3-4 foot diameter ring at 300 yards away. Here is where my issue comes in: I am myopic and was wearing an set of eyeglasses with an old prescription (they're much more comfortable than my current glasses). Because of this, *everything* at distance is a bit blurry for me, including the reticle. Once I put on my current prescription, the two dots and ring stood out in perfect detail. In short, if you don't have 20/20 vision, corrected or natural, it will appear as blurry as everything else. Another concern I've seen about the reticle is that it's "spotty" or "grainy." This is inherent with all lasers and you can see it for yourself if you play with a laser pointer. On the positive side, the hologram's projection also means that you don't have to worry about eye relief. The reticle will be the exact same size on the target regardless of how close your eye is to the sight. See my attached photos for an example of this And finally, as reviewer Tots pointed out, this sight is not for everyone. If looking at your front post when aiming is completely ingrained in you, or if you're used to scope optics doing the focusing for you, EOtechs will be hard to use. You need to stay focused on the target and don't look directly at the floating red ring projecting over it. If you try focusing on the reticle, it will become blurry. As someone who is primarily a pistol shooter who instinctively focuses on the front sight, it did not take long for me to become accustomed to the EXPS2-2. So this is something that can easily be overcome with a bit of practice.

This sight is hands down awesome! I put it on my Smith and Wesson M&P 15 magpul edition. It's easy to sight in, and maintains a zero perfectly. I put several hundred shots down range with it and haven't had any complaints. I can land a whole 30 round magazine on steel easily at 200 yards. I don't care about the lawsuit, they shouldn't have lied. But I'm not going to the Sahara or Antarctica to shoot, so it doesn't really apply to me. I would recommend a magnifier behind it.

This what you expect from from eotech. Solid construction, dependable controls, and excellent visibility in and around the sight. This model features the two dots inside the ring/ reticle. I wasn't sure how I would like the two dots. After spending some time with it mounted and running drills, is when I was convinced. You have one center dot, along with a second lower dot. This gives you some added use when using it as a bullet drop indicator. Putting the magnifier behind this thing just made it even better. Dumbed down and brief, I know. Bottom line is this sight gives you a rugged and versatile optic when and where it counts.

BEWARE! The listing reads EOTECH EXPS2-2, but the picture SHOWS a reticle image with ONE AIMING DOT...
    That is NOT an EXPS2-2.

What can I say except I LOVE IT. Kinda pricy but well worth it. Love the 1MOA. I use it with a 3X magnifier and with match ammo, it is so easy to group in that MOA. Love the "500" yard MOA dot but most of all the 65MOA reticle makes it much easier to distance targets good enough to place LOT.

If you've never used an eotech please refrain from buying until you have used one. They are fantastic but not for everyone. In my opinion they are a little overhyped. Most people would be better off with a standard scope or cheaper red dot. With that being said...I love my exps2-2! Everything as advertised. Easy to sight in and stays sighted in.

I received this item on time as expected. This my second EOTech sight that I've purchased. I previously owned the 512 model. I'm very pleased with the EXPS2-2 model so far. Easy to use and zero. It's small foot print created more rail space on my AR and allowed me to use a magnifier.
