- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2013Style: RangefinderVerified PurchaseThis is a very nice scope for a budget. There's nothing sloppy about about the mounts, adjustments or focus. It has a metal body and metal caps on the elevation and windage adjustments. The lens covers are actually transparent so you can look through the scope at any time, but they do induce distortion so I think they're more for quick spotting rather than shooting. The reticules do not look like the dovetail layout as seen on the product picture; I posted a photo showing what they actually reflect on the one I received. I don't think this difference changes the overall value of the product - it's strong with clear optics and decent performance for the cost.
Here are the drawbacks I've noticed: The hex mounting nuts are loosening and backing off from the vibration of my SKS. I'm checking them every few shots to re-tighten. I'd use a tool to crank them down a little bit, but I'm concerned they might strip out. I think I'll use some treatment on the threads to keep the nuts from backing off so easily. And finally - eye relief. It's only 3 inches behind the scope, so I have to keep my head slightly more forward than I'd prefer when shooting. And with a diameter of 32mm I have to be in a specific spot to see straight through - there's not much room to move around. Neither of these are hurting my accuracy at all, but some people might need to add a riser to see without discomfort. I purchased this Leapers Offset Mount to rise the scope up and push it back a bit on my father's AR. It worked out perfectly - no more having to learn forward for a clear picture.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2014Style: RangefinderVerified PurchaseAmazon is such a great place to shop! I found this scope for my Ruger 10/22 Takedown and purchased it based on the price and reviews. I am very happy with the purchase! The compact size was perfect for my Takedown, allowing it to still fit perfectly in the bag while mounted on the gun.
The quality seems to be very good. The rings and mount worked great and tightened down to the Ruger rail like they were made for each other. The scope is very clear and bright. I don't really think the rangefinder lines serve much of a purpose for this type of scope but don't really hurt anything either. Maybe you compete in 1000 yard competitions with your .22 and cheap 4 power scope but that is not what I bought it for.
One of the strongest features of the scope, in my opinion, is the great eye relief. I noticed that I had a wide range of how far forward or back I could mount the scope and still have a full field of view. Shortly after I mounted this scope, I mounted an older, full size Tasco scope I have to a different 10/22 I own for my father to use. While mounting the Tasco I found it had only a very small range of eye relief and could really only be mounted in one place and still be able to be used. Also, this shorter, more compact scope looked better on the .22, more to scale with the overall gun.
I am amazed you can buy this nice of a scope for the price, highly recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2014Style: RangefinderVerified PurchaseThis is a great little scope! It seems to be made well, and for the price, I don't think you could get a better one.
That said, I've got some thoughts:
1. First off, the reticle is not what is advertised. Look up a crossbow reticle, and that's what it looks like.
2. Second the crosshairs themselves are huge. It's probably around 10moa, meaning if you're looking at a target hundred yards away the crosshairs will cover up about 10 inches on the target.
3. Thirdly, there's no included information as to the separation of horizontal bars on the reticle (like how many mils or moa they are apart). you could probably figure this information out, but it would've been nice to have been included .
I know these are kind of nitpicks, and for the price I really can't complain, But forget about long-range shots with this thing. I'd say 50 yards is really the limit, but you could go out to 100 yards.
I threw this on my AR just to plink around at the range, and it worked perfectly for that. You could probably hunt with it too, but I'd probably just leave it on a .22 or something for fun.
overall, a great little scope, for a great price!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2014Style: RangefinderVerified PurchaseThis is a great scope. . . it arrived a week before Amazon's estimate, and in perfect condition. . . I got it through USPS this morning, mounted it on my Ruger 10/22 Carbine, got it zeroed via boresight very quickly, and put 200 rounds through it. . . I needed just 6 rounds to get it perfectly zerored, and it stayed perfect through the next 194 rounds, at varying rates of fire. . . I'm holding my final judgement until I've put 1000 rounds through it, but based on it's performance today, I'm not worried. . . Some reviews had mentioned that the rangefinder reticle isn't dovetailed, however my scope has the dovetailed rangefinder, and the optic is clear as day. . . The sunshade caps are clear and easy to sight through, and i haven't noticed any of the distortion or blurring others have mentioned. . . I can't recommend this scope highly enough. . . for the price, there's no better value, and after only an hour of use I'm more comfortable with this than the Leupold scope I've had on my Winchester Model 70 for 6 years. . . I'm probably going to buy a few more for other small caliber rifles. . .

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful Scope
Style: RangefinderVerified PurchaseFor the price it's a good scope , it has yardage increments inside so that's a bonus. I just needed something cheaper to fit my SKS .
