    The light transmission is amazing. The picture is crisp. The turrets are easily set. For a sportsman in rural KY it's the cream of the crop. Most of my shooting is inside 300 yards. I've owned other brands at the $200-$250 price point but none hold a candle to Leupold. 100% designed and manufactured in the US. Which is something that I look for. Right now mounted on a .308 win BDL and it does great. Absolutely no issue.

    Typical Leupold quality, which is to say, excellent. It has a fairly narrow eye relief though, but I expected that from a 4-12. Nice clear optics and good reticle. 1/4 MOA adjustment clicks are firm and confident. Holds zero perfectly on my Contender carbine even when changing barrels.

    It would have been nice to have a graduated reticle or some mil dots or something, but for the price I didn't expect that. I'm using it as a target scope, not a field scope.

    I have a Leupold scope that I have used since the 1990's. It works well so I ordered another one. When I received this scope it was very blurry, unclear, and the magnification did not work well, I sent it back today. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because perhaps it was damaged in transit, which is not the fault of the manufacturer. However, I received a Bushnell Elite a couple weeks earlier, with the same 40mm lens, and even the field of vision is much better in the Bushnell for the same price. I know Leupold makes good scopes, but this model did not perform well for me at all.

    Great glass for the money. Mounted up on my Kimber Hunter in 308. This is a no non sense scope with it's capped turrets but so is the kimber rifle, weighing in at only 6.5 lbs with this scope on it.

    This is probably one of the lightest scopes on the market for those of you western hunters who are conscious about how much weight you have pulling on your shoulder while hiking those mountains.

    I don't think Vortex or Nikon scopes are bad AT ALL, but this is just so much better. I am officially ruined as far as scopes go from now on. Extremely clear, generous eye relief...just an entire different experience. I would recommend 100%. Even though they are very expensive, I will only buy Leupold from now on. It is definitely worth saving for an extra week or two.
