NIKON P-TACTICAL SCOPES

Nikon’s P-TACTICAL scopes provide the features you need to maximize your hunting experience — regardless of the platform you mount it on. Fully multicoated optical systems housed in rugged, one-inch, aircraft-grade aluminum main tubes brighten even the most dismal environments and unforgiving conditions. The versatile 3x zoom ratio (on variable models) provides the field of view at the low end and the detail at the high end to satisfy most shooting demands. P-TACTICAL’s hash-marked MK1-MOA or MK1-MRAD reticles are matched to ergonomic turrets with directional indicators to make every come-up-or down — both simple and intuitive. Dedicated caliber models — including rimfire — match the reticle to your preferred caliber. When used in conjunction with Nikon’s free Spot On Ballistic Technology, all reticles offer exact holdover points or elevation adjustment for any long-range engagement.

Fit and finish are flawless on this well designed, compact and lightweight rifle scope. Optics will not disappoint. Reticle is great. Placed on a 9mm carbine, sighted in perfectly to 25 yards. With 115 gn. bullets, right on again at 100 yards. Reticle adjustments are extremely precise and very handy with no screw-in covers to deal with. Semi-matte finish is very tough and doesn't easily scratch just from putting on the scope rings. Too bad Nikon will no longer be making rifle scopes. Great scope! Fits perfect on a brush gun or something with medium range caliber or application. Only down side Nikon is getting out of the scope game. Better off getting a similar scope from another manufacturer. They caved to anti 2A legislation

Really good glass as you would expect from Nikon. Well made, high quality scope. I did end up returning it though because I decided a fixed power scope didn’t fit my needs. I needed a variable low power scope with an illuminated reticle. I went with the Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 instead.

I purchased the Nikon P-tactical .223 BDC 3-32 and although I love the scope and clarity and the fact that it is calibrated for the .223 my first day out at the range I broke the windage screw when trying to reset to zero with average pressure, they should have used a stronger retaining screw :/ I sent it into nikon for warrenty(make sure you keep proof of purchase and the warrenty card that comes with it) and they could not fix the problem and sent me a brand new one, so problem solved and I am going to be much for gentle this time around

Be careful to buy the correct scope rings. The one piece unit that I thought was matched to this unit did not fit, they were too wide for this short scope. I had to buy the two piece rings.

At a 100 yard sight in procedure the Bullseye is a blur and my Red Dots that are all high quality offer no help the Nikon Scope has taken care of that problem. Future buyers should know that high mount rings will be required to get the scope away from your rail on an AR and some may want to go with extra high rings. The scope is small I like that and fits the overall size of the firearm.
