Great scope, I've always been a Leupold fan and and always impressed. I bought this scope in silver to put on a .30-.06 with a stainless barrel even though it was $50 more than the typical black VX-1. The eye relief is simply astounding with this scope and I know I'll never have to worry about getting scoped when I'm at the range. The first thing I noticed when I took this scope from the package was the weight. This VX-1 is lighter than air! Yes still seems to be as durable as anything else you could find. For those of us on a budget, I firmly believe Leupold is the best way out. It's the Cadillac of scopes.

Incredible clarity and build quality. Could not be happier with it. I mounted it via Leupold "Rifleman" rings to my Ruger 10/22 Target. Perfect match.

My only gripe is that the rings do not completely close around it, which looks odd and annoys me.

Bought this to mount on my ruger 10 22 and I'm beyond happy with this purchase. The eye relief is amazing I got as far back on the stock as I could and still no problem seeing through optic. This is my first leupold scope and it will be my only choice in the future. Made in America so its top of the line quality. I had no problems sighting rifle in with a few rounds. It was almost zeroed from just installing so only minor adjustments were needed. Used a laser bore sight first and about two follow shots and adjustments and now my ruger is dead accurate.

I mounted the Luepold VX-1 on one of my Ruger 10-22s with the Game Reaper one piece low mount.

The optics on the Luepold VX-1 scope are crystal clear, and the fit and finish is perfect, as expected of course.

The Game Reaper mount was a first for me, but it fit the factory mounting holes perfectly, and was very easy to install and get the scope mounted properly and "mechanically zeroed" with.

Now that it is mounted, it feels very solid, and it's perfect for mounting a scope with a 40mm objective lens close to the bore of a 10-22 as well.

I will update this review once I've had a chance to take the new setup to the range and wring it out.
